The Cost of Organizing by: Samantha w/ Help-Organize-Life.com
I know how hard it is to be a single parent with no help via child support. While it may be more challenging to get organized with your circumstances and illness it is not impossible. Most professional organizers would be willing to come in for 2 hours to help you get started. Even if you could save up for that it would be well worth it to get back started on the road to organization. Once where you are staying is back in order I am sure that it will cut down on your flair ups as well. Professional organizers charge various rates. You could get an organizer to come in a give you an assessment that outlines what needs to be done and how to do it then have a family friend or family member help you implement the plan. You could also utilize a hands-on organizer for 2 hours or so and get a gigantic jump on what needs to be done concentrating on the most pressing areas first and leaving you with doable homework once they have left and a plan of action that can be carried out in baby steps. You have many possibilities even with limited funds. You might even want to find a local National Association of Professional Organizer's group to see if they do any community work and would be able to provide probono work. I hope this helps in getting you started to getting your home back in order. By starting now you teach your child the importance of staying organized and as your child gets older they can help out too!
